Is the lighting design consultation free?
Yes. Our lighting design service is free, with no obligation to purchase. You’ll receive practical advice and product recommendations tailored to your home, style and budget.
What should I bring or send?
Please provide PDF floor plans and elevations where available. An electrical plan, room measurements, photographs, mood boards and examples of styles you like will also help your designer understand your project.
Don’t have plans? We can still help with individual rooms using clear photographs and basic measurements.
How long does a finished lighting plan take?
Most lighting plans are completed within 5 to 10 working days after your consultation and once we have received all the information needed. Larger new builds and more detailed projects may take longer. Your designer will confirm the expected timeframe with you.
When is the best time to book?
For new builds and renovations, book as early as possible, ideally before your electrical layout is finalised and before wiring begins. Early planning gives you more flexibility with fitting placement, switching and layered lighting.
For an existing room, you can book whenever you’re ready to update or improve the lighting.
What consultation options are available?
You can meet with a lighting designer in one of our showrooms, online through a virtual consultation or on-site where available. We’ll help you choose the most suitable option for your project.
Can you design around my budget?
Yes. Let your designer know your preferred budget at the beginning of the consultation. We’ll recommend practical options that balance appearance, performance and value.
Can you work with my architect, builder or electrician?
Yes. For renovations and new builds, we can work from your architectural and electrical plans to create recommendations that can be discussed with your project team. Final placement and electrical compliance must be confirmed by your electrician.
