Lighting Direct Fixtures and Fittings Product Warranty


This warranty does not limit, negate, or replace the statutory guaranties and the right of redress
available to you under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.


Your warranty will commence on the date of settlement, or on the date of the first tenancy
occupation. Please provide a copy of a solicitors letter with settlement date, or a Tenancy
Agreement as proof of commencement.


Warranties
All fixtures and fittings have a minimum twelve (12) month warranty, if installed by a registered
electrician, excluding globes. We have a five (5) year warranty on all Ledlux LED downlights*
Please note: Products that have been installed cannot be returned for a 'change of mind' refund.

Installation Warning
Unless a product is labelled DIY (Do-It-Yourself), all electrical work must be performed by a
registered electrician.

How to make a Warranty Claim (within New Zealand only)

Call or e-mail your local branch where original purchase was made with the following information handy so we can assist in the most efficient way:

  • Receipt (proof of purchase) 
  • Product information of faulty item e.g. SKU number and product name
  • Description of fault
  • Any supporting images or details

Free Standing
Consumers can return any faulty product to a Lighting Direct store within NZ, together with a proof
of purchase receipt, within the warranty period. The repair, replacement, or refund option will be
determined by Lighting Direct as per the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act.

Fixtures
For goods that are deemed faulty, and have already been installed, please contact your local store
